One of the 20 children who were killed in the shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in December was six-year old Avielle Richman. Both of Avielle's parents, Jeremy Richman and Jennifer Hensel, are scientists. And through their grief they've decided to dedicate themselves to answering the question of what goes wrong in the brain of someone like the person who took the life of their daughter. They've created The Avielle Foundation to support research on the neuroscience of aggression and violence and to engage the community on this issue.
